Unscripted - The Childfree Life

Unscripted Needs You!

Dear Readers of Unscripted’s first issue:

Unscripted started off as the mote in the eye of a few regular visitors to the EZCF board during the summer of 2006. Now you’re seeing our first issue. Let this be an invitation to you: you, too, could have your name on our contributors list, and your byline on a story!

We’re just getting this off the ground, so there’s plenty of room for more staff. Our biggest need currently is for writers.

If you want to write an article (or two, or more) for Unscripted, contact us and tell us what you’d like to contribute. Our articles in The Zone and What’s New run anywhere from 400-800 words, and our Features and Editorials are a little bit longer.

Currently, we can’t pay. Unscripted is a labor of love by volunteers for the foreseeable future. However, if you’re thinking that “author” is one of the things you’d like to be in life, consider this one of the training camps available to you. Producing a publishable story under a deadline is a valuable skill to have. Being able to develop, write, and, ultimately, revise a story under editorial guidance is another.

All rights remain with our contributors. Therefore, there’s no reason you can’t take a story you had published here, rework it a bit, and actually sell it to someone else. If nothing else, Unscripted intends to provide interesting articles for our readers, and at the same time, serve as a training ground for new writers to improve upon their skill sets.

Unscripted: it could be your chance to polish your writing talent and see your name in a byline!
