Got an itch to write?
We haven’t gotten many letters about Unscripted this month. What we have had instead is quite a few letters from people wanting to write for Unscripted, which is fantastic!
Many people want to write about their personal experiences being childfree in a world devoted to parents and children. It seems a lot of people have got stuff they want to get off their chests. Which is great, though there’s only so many of those articles we can print per month. What we’d like to see is not only your personal opinions on topics relevant to the childfree, but also more of the following: articles about your hobbies; reviews of books, movies, video games, TV shows, and consumer products; and news that affects the childfree. Is there a new form of permanent contraception being considered for approval by the FDA? Has your country’s parliament/congress pushed through legislation giving parents more time-off with pay? Are more companies making their benefits employee-friendly instead of family-friendly? Inquiring CF minds would like to hear about it!
In the end, there are only so many articles our permanent staffers can write, and only so many points of view we can represent. Our goal is to write less as time goes by to make room for all the articles you will be writing. We know there are childfrees out there from every walk of life, every ethnic group, every country, and every profession. We want to hear from you!
And if you don’t think you can write us an entire article, you could still write us an LTTE to tell us how much you like Unscripted. ’ K?
